Black-bikes respects the privacy of all users of its site stores and ensures that the personal information you provide is treated confidentially. Your data is used solely to determine who you are, so that we feel you can be thrusted with our bikes and we are able to get in touch in case of any issues regarding the bike rental. Black-bikes will not sell your personal information to third parties and will only make it available to third parties involved in processing data needed to run our company (IT service providers and parties that collect our reviews). Our employees and third parties engaged by us are obliged to respect the confidentiality of your data.

 

What do we do with your data

Black-bikes uses the collected data to provide its customers with the following services:

When you rent a bike or make a reservation we need your name, home address, e-mail address, telephone number. This data will be stored to determine the recipient of a transaction, and can be used to get in touch to you regarding the rental/reservation.

Your e-mail address can be used to ask for feedback about your experience at black-bikes, and promotional offers regarding black-bikes.

When renting a bike you will also get asked for your passport, this data will not get stored after the initial rental, thus won’t be used by black-bikes.

Data is never resold to third parties.

The data that is being collected by black-bikes can be accessed by:

– All black-bikes employees with clearance for the type of data

– IT service providers that need access to perform their tasks

 

Where do we store your data

Your data is being stored in various databases that are protected by our IT suppliers, who also have to comply with GDPR.

 

Retention period

Black-bikes has not set a maximum retention period. Data regarding transactions needs to be kept for a minimum period of 7 years in compliance with the Dutch tax regulations. Data not needed for transactions or with an age over 7 years can be deleted on request.

Black-bikes uses cookies. Cookies are small pieces of information that are stored by your browser on your computer, which are used to recognize you when you visit. Cookies enable us to collect information about the use of our services and to improve and adapt these to the wishes of our visitors.
