Museum Night Amsterdam (Museumnacht)

Museum Night Amsterdam (Museumnacht) is a once-a-year event where dozens of museums and cultural venues across the city stay open late and run special programs.
It’s not just normal museum visiting at night; museums usually add extra experiences like live music, performances, pop-up talks, workshops, and themed activities.
The vibe is social and energetic, and it attracts a lot of locals.
Opening Hours
Museum Night runs from 19:00 to 02:00 on one Saturday night each year. It is held on the first Saturday of November: 7 November 2026.
Location
This event takes place across Amsterdam, in many participating museums and cultural institutions (not one single address).
Tickets
You buy one all-access ticket, which gives you entry to all participating venues on the night of the event.
Tickets generally sell out, so it’s smart to buy early.
Tickets are sold through the official Museumnacht website (not through the museums individually).
Good to Know
Plan ahead: there are many venues and activities happening at the same time, so pick a few priorities and build a simple route.
It’s easy to combine museums by neighborhood (for example, around Museumplein, the center, or Oost) to avoid losing time traveling.
Expect queues at popular museums, especially earlier in the day.
