ARTIS - Micropia

ARTIS-Micropia is the world’s first museum entirely dedicated to microbes. It focuses on bacteria, viruses, fungi, and other microorganisms that shape life on Earth. Rather than presenting microbes as something to fear, the museum explains how essential they are to human health, food production, ecosystems, and the planet as a whole.
Exhibits include live microbes viewed through microscopes, interactive displays about the human microbiome, and real-time experiments. The museum is science-based but presented in a very accessible way, making complex biology understandable for non-specialists.

Body Worlds Amsterdam

BODY WORLDS Amsterdam is a permanent exhibition dedicated to the human body and how it works. Created by anatomist Dr. Gunther von Hagens, the museum uses real human specimens preserved through a process called plastination.

Everything is presented in a clear, visual way that does not require medical knowledge. The museum is suitable for adults and older children and is especially interesting if you enjoy biology, health science, or simply understanding how your own body functions.
