NEMO Science Museum

NEMO Science Museum is the largest science museum in the Netherlands and one of the most popular attractions in Amsterdam for families. The museum focuses on hands-on learning, allowing visitors to experiment with physics, chemistry, biology, engineering, and technology through interactive exhibits.
Inside, you’ll find demonstrations on electricity, sound, light, the human body, sustainability, and digital technology. Many exhibits are designed so visitors actively participate rather than just observe, making it especially engaging for children and teenagers. Adults usually find it surprisingly entertaining as well. The building itself is also a highlight. Designed by architect Renzo Piano, it resembles a large green ship rising from the water.
